Please find below the full transcript from the international media conference call with Felix Sturm, Matthew Macklin and EPIX CEO Mark Greenberg ahead of the Sturm - Macklin World title fight in Cologne on Saturday.
Three-time middleweight champion FELIX STURM (35-2-1, 15 KOs), of Germany, makes his 10th defense of his WBA middleweight title against top-rated contender MATTHEW “Mack the Knife” MACKLIN (28-2, 19 KOs), of the UK, This Saturday!  June 25.  It will be televised Live to the U.S., from the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany, exclusively on EPIX, the multiplatform premium entertainment service., will stream the fight live as part of a free two-week trial offer.  The live broadcast and the live stream on EPIX and, respectively, will begin at 5 p.m. ET. As has become the custom, EPIX will once again present the closed-captioned simulcast of this world championship rumble on a jumbotron in Times Square (Broadway between 44th and 45th Sts.)

Matthew Macklin's trainer Joe Gallagher wants his charge to go from double M to triple M  over the remainder of this week as Saturday nights World title showdown with Felix Sturm in Germany's draws ever closer. Gallagher want's Macklin to adopt Marvelous Marvin Hagler's mantra of “Mean, Moody, Magnificent” as he bids to upset long reigning WBA champion Sturm at a sold out Lanxess Arena in Cologne on Saturday.

Macklin touched down in Germany on Sunday to fulfil a week of media obligations ahead of a fight which is being broadcast live in the UK and Ireland, Germany and the U.S. with an TV audience of almost 10 million expected in Germany alone while the fight is also being shown live on the jumbotron in Times Square, New York.

Matthew Macklin's World title bid in Germany on June 25th will be broadcast exclusively live in the US on Epix while the fight will also be beamed live on a big screen in New York's Times Squre (Broadway at 44th St.). Two time European Champ Macklin faces local hero Felix Sturm at the 20,000 seater Lanxess Arena in Cologne for the German's WBA World Middleweight title and Epix are delighted to be able to offer the fight to American viewers exclusively on their multiplatform premium entertainment service., will also stream the fight live in the US as part of a free two-week trial offer. The live broadcast and the live stream on EPIX and, respectively, will begin at 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
