Deafening silence from Rendall "No Show" Munroe

Rendall “No Show” Munroe was mysteriously absent from a press conference in Dublin on Monday which confirmed that he will be defending his European Super Bantamweight title in the city next month.

Munroe’s no show came after a weekend in which promoter Brian Peters upped his offer for the European Champion to defend his title in Dublin (against a real challenger – Bernard Dunne) to £60,000.

Bernard Dunne and his manager Brian Peters are delighted to hear that European Super Bantamweight champ Rendall Munroe is due in Dublin tomorrow morning for a press conference.
 
Perhaps Munroe is ready to accept Peters latest offer of £60,000 to defend his title against Dunne…or maybe he’ll try to explain why he’s defending his title against an obscure Italian in Dublin next month.

Dunne stays on track for World bid

Bernard Dunne stayed on track for a world title shot with a seventh round technical decision over Cristian Faccio on the Hunky Dorys Fight Night at the Breaffy House Resort, Castlebar.

The former European super bantamweight champ looked to be cruising to victory when an accidental clash of heads early in the seventh round left Dunne with a horrific cut on his forehead causing blood to stream down his face and obscure his vision.
